Who We Are
Maximum Solar founder and President Brett Chapman has a long, substantive history working in the solar industry and has keen insights into all facets of solar power plant Operations and Maintenance. From long-standing relationships with key stakeholders to applied experience with the intricacies of solar engineering, site preparation and facility installation, Mr. Chapman has extensive knowledge that gives Maximum Solar an unparalleled level of expertise in the photovoltaic solar industry.
Mr. Chapman co-founded Delta Roofing in 1988 with one pick-up truck and a ladder. By 2007, he and his partner had grown the business to 150 employees and $28,000,000 in annual revenue. In 2008, he and his partner sold the business to Tecta America. Tecta is the largest roofing contractor in the United States and, at the time, one of the largest Solar EPC firms. Mr. Chapman stayed on with the firm to run their New England Solar Operations through 2012 before starting Maximum Solar in 2013.
Mr. Chapman is a graduate of the Isenberg School of Business with a BBA in Marketing. He holds a MA Construction Supervisor’s License, is certified by the North American Board of Certified Practitioners (NABCEP) and is a member of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA).
Vice-President of Operations & Maintenance
Mr. Austin is a Master Electrician overseeing the electrical side of Maximum Solar’s business. Mr. Austin’s responsibilities include remote monitoring of all Maximum Solar’s customer sites, management of the field technicians, dispatching, training, inspections, preventative maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repairs.
Mr. Austin’s prior positions include Senior Electrician Field Supervisor at Enphase/Next Phase Solar and Senior Electrician at Solect Energy Development.
Mr. Austin received his Master Electrician’s License from Assabet Valley Vocation Technical School, Journeyman Electrician from Leo Martin Electrical School, and a BA in Social Studies from Ithaca College.
Site Maintenance Superintendent
Mr. Farrar oversees the Vegetative Maintenance Division for Maximum Solar. His responsibilities include managing three crews, including scheduling, dispatch, and equipment maintenance. The Division takes care of all customers site needs, including mowing, trimming, pruning, tree removal, spraying, road maintenance and erosion control, snow removal, snow plowing and solar module cleaning. Mr. Farrar has over 30 years of experience in these types of activities.
